Mike, Ron Estevez, Bobby Ervin and I all grew as friends from Guardian Angels School. Then, after we graduated, we all went on to Rockhurst. We played, discovered the secrets of life, fought/defended each other and generally hung out together in our neigborhood. Mike was the one who always had the gentle heart and never said a bad thing about anyone. Mike wanted to be a friend to everyone he met. He was our companion and friend from grade school on and we will continue to remember those fond memories from our youth we sometimes take for granted.
