We are saddened to learn of the passing of Mike Tierney on Tuesday. May he Rest In Peace. The funeral mass will be at St. Catherince's on Friday, April 28th at 11 a.m., visitation will begin at 10 a.m. More details will be in the paper this week.

It has been awhile since I had seen Mike, but I remember his hearty laugh and kind heart. St. Peter has welcomed another of our class home in Heaven.Jose Jimenez
I remember Mike going back to grade school. Ron and I played basketball against him when we were at Guardian Angels and Mike was at Our Lady of Good Counsel, just blocks away. We were not in the same section, but we maintained that comradery throughout high school and I always felt Mike was a gentle soul. Although not confrontational, Mike did exhibit occasional competative bursts during sports
, but he was mostly upbeat and always friendly to everyone! Our prayers go out to his family.
